Recycled baked bean tin earrings, leaf shape

These earrings have been handmade by me from recycled baked bean tins.

I use the lids from the tins as this metal is strong enough to use, yet flexible enough to be worked in a similar way to silver.

After thoroughly cleaning the metal, I cut the pieces to shape with snips, then file and sand the edges to a smooth safe finish before adding patterns and detail with chasing and repousse techniques, bu using hammers and punches, the end result is eco friendly, beautifully unique, wearable jewellery.

I use silver and gold plated ear wires on all of my recycled tin earrings.
