Jenny Gartside BSc (Hons), Jeweller and Artist.

Based in the Peak District, my jewellery is primarily made in silver while my 2D artwork is focused on painting and printmaking. Natural themes feature often in both my jewellery and 2D work, with many prints and paintings consisting of wild animal and plant still life studies, while plant derived textures can be found in many of my jewellery items and commissions.

Having been a jeweller for over 15 years, I now sell my work both online and at the Gallery in the Gardens (a co-operative gallery run by the High Peak Artists association of which I am a member) situated within Buxton’s Pavilion Gardens. I teach a variety of jewellery classes in Buxton, as well as exhibiting work in local and national exhibitions such as the Society of Botanical Artists ‘Plantae’ 2020 annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London.

My 2D artwork is focused on painting and printmaking, using traditional hand engraving and etching techniques. I work in miniature mostly and exhibit artwork in local and national exhibitions including the Royal Miniature Society Exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London, and the Derbyshire open exhibition held in Buxton Museum and Art Gallery.

I regularly undertake commissions for jewellery, (examples can be viewed here) including engagement and wedding jewellery, special celebration jewellery gifts such as for a birthday or Christmas. I offer a bespoke service where I collaborate with you to turn your ideas into a unique item made to the highest standards.
